Standard ESU LokPilot v5 CV List (CV 1 – 255)
- CV 1: Short address (Decoder address 1–127)
- CV 2: Vmin (Starting voltage)
- CV 3: Acceleration rate (Momentum)
- CV 4: Deceleration rate (Braking momentum)
- CV 5: Vmax (Maximum speed)
- CV 6: Vmid (Midpoint speed)
- CV 7: Software version (Read-only)
- CV 8: Manufacturer ID (ESU = 151; enter 8 to perform a decoder reset)
- CV 13 / CV 14: Function states during analog operation / DC operation
- CV 17 / CV 18: Long address (Extended 4-digit address 128–9999)
- CV 19: Consist address (Multi-unit operation)
- CV 21 / CV 22: Consist function mapping controls
- CV 29: Decoder configuration settings (Direction, speed steps, RailCom, address length)
- CV 51–56: Motor control and load regulation tuning parameters
- CV 64: Brake mode and analog detector options
- CV 96 / CV 97 / CV 99: Indirect programming registers for high-numbered CVs
Indexed CVs (CVs above 255)
LokPilot 5 uses indexed addressing (via CV 31 and CV 32) to access over a thousand hidden variables, particularly for function mapping and advanced logic outputs.
- CV 31: Index block register (Default/Base settings usually require
CV 31 = 16) - CV 32: Secondary index selector (Defines the specific functional page/sub-bank)
- CV 257–512: Mapped variables on the active index page (e.g., individual physical and logical function outputs like AUX1–AUX31)
